"I would like to nominate Victoria for the DAISY Award as I witnessed one encounter. Victoria volunteered to work with a family that appeared to be non-compliant in medical needs due to language barriers and confidence. Victoria took the time in four visits and gained their trust and empowered the patient and family to be more independent and take control of their care, when other nurses were unable to make that connection. This encounter not only enabled the patient and family but also saved the clinic in many visits and clinic hours".
