I had a uterine embolization of the artery. Vida Kaplan was one of the nurses who were assisting me for hours. Vida was not only caring and encouraging but also informative during everything. She helped calm my thoughts as well as make me feel comfortable during a difficult time for me. It was my first surgery and I was quite nervous. Throughout the surgery, Vida made sure I was comfortable and let me know what to expect. After the surgery, Vida was there to help with the pain and to help me feel more comfortable. Not only was Vida there during my recovery but after a few weeks I developed some complications with my leg. Vida gave me her direct number so that I could ask her questions and let her know how I was doing. On her days off she reached out to me making sure I was doing well. She helped arrange for me to have ultrasounds very quickly. Vida knew I was a teacher and was trying to accommodate me the best she could. Again Vida went over and beyond for me. When I arrived at the hospital again she made sure that I had fast and excellent care. I am so thankful for her quick thinking and knowledge that she has and her genuine caring for me. Her rapport with Dr. K and the other nurses was impeccable. I am so thankful that Vida was my nurse during this difficult time for me.
