Vikki Foley, BSN, RN, has served our community as a nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at THH for over 23 years. Vikki is known as a leader in her department and throughout the hospital, serving as a role model for providing high-quality, compassionate care. 

Vikki demonstrates the “Love Me” Service Standard by resolving all issues brought to her attention. She approaches the patient as a person, not just a patient. Vikki remains calm and objective in the most stressful situations. When an issue arises, Vikki will sit at the patient's bedside and listen to their story. She remains at the bedside with the person until they can mutually come up with a resolution that works for everyone. She aims to ensure the patient feels happy, comfortable, and loved because of their time together.

Just tonight, there was a patient who was unhappy with their care. Vikki spent time sitting with the person and her family, hearing them out, acknowledging their concerns, and working toward a resolution. Ultimately, Vikki facilitated a solution in which everyone felt safe and comfortable. Vikki is the nurse everyone in the hospital looks to for support and advice. She is the nurse I hope to be one day.
