Nurse Vinzi exhibited a high level of personal compassion and service from the first moment I met her this morning. As a former healthcare leadership trainer, I take special notice of individuals who follow the golden rule of leadership which, in my opinion is, "Treat others the way you want to be treated". Vinzi responded to every push of the nurses button with a smile, enthusiasm and a kind word to say. As most of us are enduring unspoken thresholds of pain, she has an innate way of knowing this and going the extra mile for the patient. She deserves this award.
