My husband was sent to Austin from another facility for a heart ablation. We drove a little over 500 nerve-wrecking miles worrying about him going into AFIB with RVR. From the moment of our arrival, Virgil has been one of the BEST nurses we have ever encountered. He set us at ease with his smile and warm personality from the moment we entered the elevator. He was thoughtful and thorough in everything he did. He explained every step of what he was doing, why he was doing it, and exactly what was going to happen in the operating room. 

Not only did Virgil demonstrate exceptional and vast knowledge and skill in his profession, he did so with an amount of compassion, heart, and personality that is rarely seen. He made us feel completely at ease and like we were sitting in a cozy living room instead of a hospital before and after surgery. He made us feel like we were part of the St. David’s South Austin Medical Center family!
