We were admitted at 30 weeks of our pregnancy and told we may deliver any day. It had us both in absolute fear, especially being away from home. We were terrified at first, and in the end, we were so happy. Both nurses were humans and friends first and not only putting our health first but our mental health first, too. On delivery day, Jenny stayed with us and helped us while we made the decision to deliver; she didn’t intrude but instead comforted two worried parents, answering our questions and not leaving us alone in fear. She never left our side and held my fiance’s hand.
