We are celebrating the extraordinary nursing care delivered by Virginia Contreras, who is a House Float in our Staffing Resources Department. Virginia floats to different units and has many different patients without the advantage of a consistent patient assignment.

Virginia's patient recognized her with a handwritten note. It was brief, written with a very unsteady hand, yet very sincere. He wrote, "I give a lot of thanks and love to a very prompt person on this Miami Valley Hospital Unit. Virginia was there for me at all critical times. That made me very comfortable and happy. I thank her from the bottom of my heart. May God bless her and love her. I do."

Virginia's compassion, attention to detail and exceptional care made a difference for this patient and undoubtedly countless others.
