Our family has been on an emotional roller coaster since my son was diagnosed with a very rare facial tumor in September. He has required an MRI and a CT scan and Ginny has cared for him both times. He is only two years old and very independent. He is not the easiest little guy to care for as he does not like to be held down or confined. Ginny has been exceptionally patient with him and is very innovative in her approaches to get what needs to be done, done with the least trauma to him. What meant the most to me was Ginny's willingness and offer to pray for our son before his scan. I am also a nurse and get the opportunity to pray for patients and their families often but it means a lot to me being on the other side. This has been the most uncertain and stressful time in our family's lives and having Ginny for his care has brought us some comfort. Our road is not over and he will require more imaging in his recovery and we hope that Ginny will be willing and available to care for him throughout. Dayton Children's is a blessed hospital to have such a caring and compassionate nurse on their staff. Thank you very much Ginny. Know that you do make a difference in your patient's lives!
