Vita had a patient in the MICU who suddenly went into cardiac arrest. This patient was successfully resuscitated and required multiple pressors and a Massive Transfusion Protocol. She had multiple lines placed and a transport to CT scan in the midst of it all. Vita remained calm and focused the whole time. She even made it a point to hold the patient's hand and console her when she broke through the sedation. I am so proud to have coworkers like her. She never fails to put the patient first under any circumstance. As a seasoned nurse, she has become MY mentor.
