Vivian was my brother's ICU nurse last month while he was there. He ended up passing away and Vivian was truly a blessing to us during that time.

She was so kind, respectful, and nurturing to him, even in his last moments. She made sure to let us know exactly what was happening the whole time, and took care of our needs as well as his. We were all grateful to have someone there who we knew was giving him the best care possible but also took the time to try to get to know us and help us understand what was happening.

Vivian was the perfect amount of "this is what we have to do, so let's get it done" while also having empathy and giving us time to adjust and accept. Having her strength and confidence to guide us through that situation made it easier for us, and I'm so glad she was there with my brother at the end because I know he was taken care of and loved. She deserves to be recognized because she truly is an outstanding nurse and person.
