Vivian's flexibility and willingness make it easy as a leader to depend on her to help in any area.
Vivian Maxwell, LPN is a very spiritual and caring nurse. She handles our triage line in Neurology where she takes time to listen to the patient and acknowledge their concerns and/or fears. Recently, Vivian was asked to help out in a newly onboarded department and this week in our Pulmonary practice. Vivian's typical response is “sure I would love to”. She has also traveled on multiple occasions to other clinics in our area where there is a need for clinical staffing. While she may be nervous about a new experience she doesn't back down and glides right into where she is needed. Her flexibility and willingness make it easy as a leader to depend on her to help in any area. Vivian has also volunteered many shift days and Saturdays to work in the Covid-19 vaccine clinic. She frequently asks me if there is a need in the vaccine clinic because she receives such joy in helping serve our community and being able to calm the patients who are anxious about receiving a shot. She even traveled to work in the ice with a walking boot on her foot to work in the vaccine clinic where many would have taken the opportunity to stay home because our clinics were closed. She will not hesitate to step beside a patient in their time of fear and pray with them. Vivian is eager to help where ever and whenever she is needed. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
