I want to let you know that with all of the other action that was happening on that floor that Saturday the fact that Vivienne would go the extra mile to make me comfortable is unbelievable.
I was a resident over the Memorial Day weekend with a Hip Fracture and wanted to let you know how amazing the staff was from the Emergency Room to the Med/Surg Ward to even transportation around the Hospital. I have never experienced such care in my life.
When I arrived by Ambulance until the time I was discharged, my family was kept informed and I was offered superior care. When I was moved up to my room after the ER, I was helped to my bed even though they knew I was in extreme pain and left me in the position that was comfortable to me at that time without question. Everything was done to make sure I was as comfortable as possible.
That evening during shift change, I was left to the skillful hands of Vivienne. This was after I had been told that my surgery had to be rescheduled to correct the problem. She knew I was miserable but we couldn't do anything but wait. I have a small child in the house and did not want him to worry about Dad as I am pretty sure he had enough anxiety watching the Paramedics take me out of the house. I want to let you know that with all of the other action that was happening on that floor that Saturday the fact that Vivienne would go the extra mile to make me comfortable is unbelievable. Vivienne came up with an aggressive plan not only to roll me but position me to a more normal sleeping position. It was the worst pain I have ever been through, but she explained it step by step and made sure without fail that my needs were met even though I was in terrible pain. She did this without fear and with exceptional professionalism. Thank you, Vivienne, for the unbelievable care.
