Vonda helped ease a patient's concerns about her blood pressure. "My blood pressure was elevated and I didn't want to take my medication because I had a low heart rate." Vonda went into the room and explained why she should take her blood pressure medication. "Vonda put my mind at ease." All of this was happening during the Christmas holiday when the patient preferred to be at home. She was happy that despite the strange machines and the blood pressure sticks, that she had someone to listen to her and to care for her well being to get her blood pressure down. "It is a wonderful gift to have an outstanding nurse."
