Vy went above and beyond her call of duty when I was in the ICU. I remember telling her I thought I was dying and she responded "Our team is going to do everything we can to help you. I am here to do everything I possibly can to not let that happen". Her words comforted me and I knew I was in great hands. She stayed 3 hours after her shift to ensure the next shift nurse knew everything about my condition as well as contributing to the next shift for me. I remember she always talked to me as a person and not a patient. She explained everything to me and made sure I had everything I needed to make a full recovery. My wife and daughters witnessed Vy hold down an IV for ten minutes with her hand so I could get the blood I desperately needed. She and the team saved my life!
