Wanda would sit with Mom when she was sick, confused, or afraid. Sometimes on her own time after her shift was done. She went out of her way to make sure Mom was comfortable and always treated her with dignity and respect. Mom looked forward to seeing her, as I'm sure the other residents did because she would bring pictures of her animals and always had a story to tell that put a smile on their faces. She goes the extra mile - if ever there was a role model for new nurses, Wanda is one!
