Dr. Wanda Morancy has repeatedly gone "above and beyond" to respond to calls for Nursing from students, faculty, and the community. For example, she has donated countless Saturdays, driving over 120 miles round-trip to an under-resourced rural area of the country, to participate in health fairs organized by Dr. Lisa Wiese's team of local volunteers. Dr. Morancy is an exemplar of demonstrating care and compassion to students, facilitating learning in these rural, community-based clinical experiences, while contributing to federally funded research aimed at improving the health of rural residents. Dr. Morancy is an extraordinary nurse faculty member, colleague, and practitioner who is living the caring-based philosophy of the FAU Christine E Lynn College of Nursing in teaching and relating with both colleagues and students.
