Almost a week after my double mastectomy, I was experiencing significant pain and discomfort and reached out to Dr. W’s office. I received a quick call back from his nurse, Warren Proctor. He was calm and asked lots of questions while walking me through what process I should take. That week at my first post-operative appointment, I met Warren for the first time. He was extremely comforting and informative to the questions my husband and I had. He was very thorough and went out of his way to discuss my situation with the doctor. He has taken time to answer questions on MyChart, take phone calls, and also reach out to me to follow up on my healing progress. He even reached out to me after work hours from his office to make sure I understood the protocol that had been explained during my appointment. He has been excellent with follow-up, scheduling, and helping to make me feel comfortable and giving me assurance at my appointments. No breast cancer journey is an easy one, but, because of Warren, I truly feel like he has made my experience at Baylor Scott and White a more positive and hopeful journey.
