Wayne Peterson, RN from the Diamond Headache Unit was named as the first recipient of the DAISY Award at SJH. As the nomination was read, Wayne received many kudos from patients and his peers.
Among some comments from patients: “He is such a warm, gentle spirit” and “I felt I was the most important person on his team!” Wayne is also seen as being a supportive, respectful team player and never hesitates to consult with peers to ensure professional care and clear communication. He believes every opinion matters and he is very enthusiastic about sharing his ideas.
