Where can I begin? Do I start with the patients who she has spent countless hours caring for their chronic wounds so well that the wounds closed and they could be discharged from our care? Or with the patients who call her when scared or confused about their diseases and know that she will provide them with the help and support they need? Or how she is the heart of our clinic; without her, we would be unable to offer as many extraordinary services as we provide? She's amazing! Wendee is always 5 steps ahead when it comes to workflow and patient care. She has a heart of gold and truly puts her whole self into caring for our patients. She always anticipates the needs of the doctors, other staff, and the clinic well in advance and works so hard to make everything run smoothly. The residents all love working with her! She is truly a gift to our dept and HCMC as a whole.

Wendee is an incredibly kind and committed person. She does so much for the dermatology department, residents, and most importantly, patients. She goes above and beyond to ensure they receive proper care and access to resources. We are lucky to have her and she deserves this recognition for all her hard work.

Being the only RN of the department, she is extraordinarily hard-working yet rarely complains about her workload. She readily helps with any patient care, even if below her training, so our clinic can continue to flow smoothly. She has gone out of her way to get patient medications or treatments when patients were not able to afford it. As the chief, Wendee is undeniably a crucial part of our department, I would not be here today without her dedication and hard work.

As a new dermatology resident, Wendee went above and beyond to help me learn the system while providing great care to our many patients! Always available and happy to answer questions. Keeps our spirits up during clinic!

Wendee goes above and beyond with each and every patient she encounters. I can always count on her to be on top of both patient and clinic needs. The Department of Dermatology would not be what it is today without her. She is an asset to Hennepin Healthcare, and we are grateful to have her. Wendee is so committed to our department and making sure our patients have the best experience possible. She ensures providers can run a seamless clinic so that patients can be seen on time and appointments run smoothly. She handles so much of the work behind the scenes to ensure patients get their medications, prior authorizations happen, lab/test/biopsy results get reviewed, providers' schedules are appropriately set up, rescheduling patients when appropriate, the list is endless. She is the BEST!

Wendee is truly incredible. She is one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met. She goes above and beyond everyday spending countless hours on the phone with patients answering a myriad of questions and makes sure that patients feel confident and comfortable. Even in the middle of the busiest clinic day, she makes sure that our whole team is doing well and volunteers without being asked to do so to help with anything, even if the task is technically not her job. She is a rockstar.

Speaking to patients on the phone for extended periods of time, and countless times, to ensure all of their questions are answered and they are completely satisfied. Checking and rechecking her inbox and ones she is not the primary for so no patient care issue/request is missed. Seeking out opportunities to further educate herself and gain skills so she is better able to serve her patients. Wendee has single-handedly enhanced our department.

Wendee is someone I can completely trust to follow through and "get the job done"! She takes amazing care of my patients, is wonderful to be around, and makes the office a better place to work. She has the utmost professionalism, embraces responsibility, and genuinely cares. She is a bright spot for our department! I can rest comfortably that she will pass on the information that I need to know, but will also take things off my plate that are within her expertise.
