I have worked for MH for 23 years. During this time I have had many managers and directors. Wendi is so caring and encouraging in every aspect. Prior to starting to work for her after I had been hired, she sent me a Christmas card in the mail welcoming me to the team. Even my 9 and 10-year-old children were impressed by this amount of care. She also sends birthday cards in the mail to our home every year.
She knows how to lift people up and encourage their innate skills and help build the skills they are lacking in. She asks your opinion on how the unit is running and what we can do better. When a mistake happens, she asks how the process failed, not how you failed the process.Throughout all my years in nursing and in MH, I have never seen a leader with such amazing leadership skills and people skills. She handles issues with grace and tact and always listens to all sides of the story prior to deciding. She is the most amazing director ever!
