Wendi is an excellent leader for our PACU team. She has been at Alexian Brothers for 23.5 years.  Prior to that, she began her nursing career in the ARMY.  She has led as the PACU’s charge nurse for many years and is a strong advocate not only for our patients but also for our nurses.  Wendi continues to be a pillar of strength and support through all the staffing challenges, especially the last year and a half.  We were short-staffed on a Friday a month ago and Wendi chose to come in on her PTO day to help us out; this is one of many examples of her support and dedication to our team.  We are grateful for Wendi and all she does for the department and the hospital.
