Her care is deeply human, and she supported me emotionally through my darkest days—those moments when hospitalization feels endless.
My stay began eleven years ago when I fell into the sea from a cargo ship. My right leg became trapped, but due to the cold water, I didn’t feel immediate pain. Two coworkers tried to rescue me, and shortly after, the ambulance arrived. In San Antonio, they were unable to stabilize me, so I was transferred to the Hospital del Trabajador.

During my hospitalization, I had the good fortune of meeting Wendy, an exceptional professional who deserves great recognition for her ability to connect with patients. Her care is deeply human, and she supported me emotionally through my darkest days—those moments when hospitalization feels endless. I consider myself very lucky to have crossed paths with Wendy at that time, especially because I spent important dates away from my family, who were waiting for me with longing while I was alone in this city.

She understood that behind the patient there was a family who missed me, and through her patience, kindness, and constant dedication—not only to me, but to all patients—she created a very special bond. I want to express my deepest gratitude for the outstanding care she provided and for accompanying us throughout this recovery process.
