Wendy is a breath of fresh air. She has helped me beyond what she can imagine. Since 2018 I have been battling cancer. As a patient who is far from my immediate family, you can only imagine the predicament brought by a cancer diagnosis while distant from those who can give you care. So I was glad I was introduced to Wendy who was one of the people that has helped me and navigated with me on this new journey. Once I was worried about my condition, she gave me an opportunity to register in a health class that enlightened me to make better food choices as a patient. The next event was more personal when she assured me that there was hope in my situation and that the game is not over yet until the Lord says it is so. Every time I visit the facility, she makes sure to pop in and check on me. She even connected me to the chaplain through a page of information that she gave me on the previous visit. So I found myself talking to someone and being encouraged spiritually while the chemo session is ongoing. Wendy has affirmed and encouraged me on so many different occasions. I may be far from home now but I am glad to receive motherly love, care, and encouragement from her the kind that my own mom would do if she is here. Even though I am not totally cancer free, she has helped me have a better outlook on my situation. Thanks Wendy!
