Wendy’s incredible intuition and experience recently thwarted an attempted kidnapping on the OB unit. She knew something wasn’t right when she saw the father – who did not have custody – trying to sneak a duffle bag toward the exit. Her gut told her the infant was inside the bag. She immediately called security and confronted the father until officers arrived. She knew to remain calm, or the man could throw the bag, possibly injuring the baby, and flee. Because of Wendy’s quick thinking, the man was quickly arrested, and the baby was kept safe. Thank you, Wendy, for being your Best for those who needed you, especially an infant in immediate danger.
