Knowing you were there, watching closely, advocating for comfort, and responding with such compassion made all the difference.
Nurse Wendy carries things home with her: faces, names, and moments, but she comes back the next day anyway. She chooses, over and over, to show up with patience and kindness even when it’s hard, even when it hurts.

“Thank you” doesn’t feel like enough, but I want you to know how deeply grateful our family is for everything you do during such a difficult time.

What stood out most to us was how present you always were. Your constant rounds, your steady checking in, and the way you never left my parents uncomfortable, physically, mentally, or emotionally, meant more than words can say.

Even when things were busy, you made them, and us feel seen, safe, and cared for. You treated my dad not just as a patient, but as a person, and you treated our family with patience, respect, and kindness.

The small things you did made an overwhelming situation feel more manageable. You gave us peace of mind during moments when fear was loud. Knowing you were there, watching closely, advocating for comfort, and responding with such compassion made all the difference.

Thank you for your dedication, your gentleness, and the care you showed our family when we needed it most. We will never forget it.
