I would like to say thank you to Wendy RN from DuPont Center For Breast Health I was under Wendy’s care this morning when I came in for a breast biopsy. I was very nervous about the procedure and was sitting in the lobby with my husband. Wendy came out to introduce herself and I immediately felt at ease. She told me her name with a smile in her eyes and a gentle reassuring tone in her voice and that she would be taking care of me and that’s exactly what she did. She invited me and my husband to the consultation room and as she explained the procedure treating me as if I were the only patient she had to care for this morning. She then shared that she was once on my side of the table and she remembered what it felt like. Wendy made me feel comfortable about who my radiologist would be and made my husband feel comfortable ensuring him that they would take good care of me. Wendy was with me every step of the way and she reduced my anxiety so very much.

Dear Wendy, I know they will read this to you. Thank you for caring for this terrified fellow nurse. Thank you for being a “Golden Rule” RN. Thank you for caring for both myself and my husband with heart. You are in the exact field that God meant for you to be in and you are touching the lives of women who are scared and unsure. You deserve to be recognized.
