Recently, my director responded to a car accident in the west parking lot. A truck carrying a 35 week pregnant female in labor, crashed into another car and was tilted on its side. The airbags deployed and the older female and pregnant woman were left inside. Wendy immediately responded by jumping up onto the hood of the car, trying to get the two ladies out. She got the older lady out first and the lady divulged the other female in the car was pregnant and in labor. Wendy immediately got her out and took her to the lobby to get her upstairs to L&D. She then returned to the other lady to ensure she was taken care of as well. Wendy never hesitates to respond in a code campus when she is in proximity. She has performed CPR in our waiting area, responded to multiple falls, and quickly deals with any other emergency situations she’s faced with. Wendy treats every patient like they are her own family member. She lives the Piedmont promise and never thinks twice about it.
