Wendy McGuire, RN

My mom was admitted to the ICU at SLCH. I thought she would die in the night she was so bad. I first met Wendy during the day. She brought so much compassion, understanding, and knowledge. She spent her whole shift giving so much attention to my mom when she was at her worst. Wendy was open-minded, personable, and showed concern. I stayed the night that night. I watched as the nurses were attentive to every prolonged beep or boop that the machines made. They problem-solved, showed compassion, and obviously gave their very best. I have NEVER experienced nurses, or even an entire unit, to be honest, who seemed so happy to be there to help. It was apparent that she wasn't the only star on the unit. I felt like everyone in CCU brought the same energy.
