When making rounds tonight I stopped into one of our patient's room who has a poor prognosis. The mother was so appreciative that Wendy Schmitt took the time to clean and braid the patient's hair and that she braided it in a fishtail style that is popular within the patient's age. This gesture provided the mother with a sense of comfort in knowing her daughter's nurse devoted such precious time to her.

Wendy is always going above and beyond to make her patients and families feel special and cared for even in the most basic way of braiding hair.
