While working in the fashion industry, Wendy came to the realization that she needed something more in her life, "Something not just about me. I was always interested in nursing but life took me on another course."
Observing and getting to know the nurses caring for her grandfather, Wendy decided to quit her job and enroll in nursing school. Upon graduation, she worked for two years on a stroke/telemetry unit at South Nassau Community Hospital.
Wendy joined the Labor & Delivery nursing staff in 2012. She chose Labor & Delivery to be a part of important moments in her patient's lives. "I can't imagine doing anything else."
