Wendy came into my room to ask how I was feeling. She had mentioned that she was off the day before but thought about me the whole time and made it a priority in her day to check up on me.
A year ago, I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy. As a first-time mom, I was extremely nervous and had a lot of questions. Wendy was extremely patient, caring, and passionate. She reassured me that everything would be okay and made me feel calm. When I delivered my son, I had complications that required me to get surgery. I remember feeling scared and crying, not knowing if I was going to be okay. Wendy talked to me and made me feel more at ease while I was being wheeled down to the emergency room. I had internal bleeding and had heard of cases where mothers don't make it, which made me terrified. Days later, while I was in recovery, Wendy came into my room to ask how I was feeling. She had mentioned that she was off the day before but thought about me the whole time and made it a priority in her day to check up on me. She was such an angel and made me feel cared for during my entire stay. To this day, a year later, I constantly think about her, and when I tell my birth story, I always mention how amazing she was. Thank you, Wendy, for being such a patient and loving nurse and creating such a positive atmosphere for patients.
