Being senior citizens, my wife and I have had numerous opportunities, over the years, to interact with more than our share of health care professionals. Most of those professionals would be rated as “Good” or “Very Good”. Few would fall within the category of “Excellent”. Only a handful would be rated as “Superlative”. Wendy D. Swierczynski, RN is truly a DAISY. Nurse Wendy entered our lives at a time of need and almost desperation. My wife had recently overcome a battle with breast cancer and I was struggling under the weight of a chronic health issue involving intense, nonstop pain. My doctor’s office sent Pentec to help manage my Specialty Infusion Therapy.

We soon realized that there is no one story that exemplifies the quality of Wendy’s professionalism. Maybe it was the time that she drove through a Pennsylvania snowstorm to relieve me of the allergic reaction I was having to my Pain Pumps medication. Or, perhaps the time she realized the stress we were dealing with during our self-imposed quarantine to help stave off exposure to Covid-19. The fact of the matter is that Wendy Swierczynski is a walking lesson in humanity. Her strong knowledge base of infusion therapy along with her human side of elaborating on her rich medical knowledge while not overpowering us is greatly appreciated.

Our most precious moment was our discussion with Wendy about “real pain” as she glanced out our backyard window at the angel statue that memorializes our young daughter’s loss of life. It was a special moment during which my wife and I connected with Wendy. We hope that you will agree that Wendy Swierczynski is truly a DAISY Nurse.
