This visit with our baby was very unexpected, and our first time to be admitted. After 36 hours of no sleep, this Momma was feeling very weepy, scared, unsure . . . all the feelings; but Whitney welcomed my baby and me with compassion and was able to calm us with her empathy. She was the sweetest with my little baby and made sure we were taken care of and even advocated for us when something wasn’t quite right. Whitney knew I had not eaten and it was at an odd hour. I later learned that she worked to get me a late lunch. This was so much appreciated and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Whitney! I wish I could repay you for your kindness! You have definitely found your calling!
