Whitney Cobb, LPN

Whitney Cobb is consistent, patient, detail-oriented, an avid learner, a team player, and a true bright spot on this floor. As Charge Nurse, when she is working with me, I know our patients will be okay. She is truly a huge support to everyone around her. She asks questions, she takes initiative, she’s dependable; she takes the time to truly access her patients which allows her to catch things other nurses glaze over. She not only encourages her patients but the staff as well. I went to tell her that she would make a great nurse one day but I stopped because she is a great nurse now, today and every day she is here. The initials RN vs LPN are not what make a great nurse, it's compassion and all the wonderful characteristics she already possesses. She is a leader and a fighter and I am incredibly grateful that she is a part of our team. I hope we can honor her with this award because she embodies the heart behind the ideals it represents.
