Whitney Krauss, BSN, RN, CCRN
Whitney Krauss cared for my mom during her time when we found that she may have a geriatric disagreement with anesthesia. There was not just one instance, but the entire time there, she was pleasant, kind, and showed extreme compassion for my mother, my siblings, and myself.
Whitney answered questions without hesitation. On the last night caring for my mother, she left me a note to say goodbye because I had fallen asleep. It was such a small act but it meant so much. It was a huge thing for me. I have been alone throughout much of this endeavor. That note showed me just how much Whitney cared.
Whitney Krauss was my charge nurse for a few nights in the CCU at Sentara Harrisonburg. I was very impressed by her careful attention to detail in her job. She followed a strict schedule; paid attention to details, and she was able to redo a test when she thought the results did not match what she was seeing. All my nurses have been good; Whitney was a complete professional, a nurse worthy of this DAISY Award.
