June 2021 Honoree
Whitney Lowe, RN
Whitney was my brother's nurse the night he arrived and the following night. She greeted me with a huge hug and really helped lift the emotional stress with her sweet southern charm. I requested several times for Whitney to be his nurse, but she was not assigned back to him. This did not stop Whitney, she would randomly come by and check on him. Then one night she left this handmade teddy bear, made from a towel, in his arms. I walked in the next morning to find my brother clenching that bear and my eyes filled with sadness but also love. She loves what she does, and it shows. Her hand-made bear with a little blue necktie bow meant so much to me. Thank you, Whitney, for all of your love and care.
Thank you, Whitney, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
