I was admitted to the Salem VA hospital due to COVID-19. I was in really severe condition. Most of my memories of the days before are lost. The first few days in the COVID ward, I was so sick and exhausted, that I was not sure if I would find the strength to survive. Whitney took care of me those days and kept me in this world. Never in my life has anyone shown me so much empathy and compassion. The entire staff was great, even though I was a terrible patient. I really feel I would not be here today, but for Whitney. Sorry it took me a while to remember to thank you.
