My father-in-law was admitted to the ER, non-responsive, and then transferred to ICU. When my husband, children, and I arrived, Whitney immediately went into comfort mode. She and the other wonderful nurses distracted the kids with ice cream and conversation while we met with the doctor to find out what was happening. Whitney stayed with us to keep us informed, shared our concern and made us all comfortable. She was able and willing to explain everything in a way we could understand. Her warmth and compassion helped a tough situation be a little easier.
