From the patient:

When I was admitted to Labor and Delivery with gestational hypertension, I never expected to meet my baby that day. What we thought would be a delivery in a few days quickly turned into an emergency C-section due to severe blood pressure. In that moment of fear and uncertainty, Whitney became everything I could have ever asked for in a nurse.

During preparation for surgery, what should have been a routine spinal block turned into over an hour of difficulty. Whitney held me upright the entire time, supporting me physically and emotionally as I cried, panicked, and prayed — and she never wavered. She continuously comforted and reassured me, giving me the strength to endure one of the most overwhelming moments of my life. She also cared for my husband and family, easing their nerves and answering every question with patience and compassion. Despite it being a shift change, she never left my side and made sure I felt safe and supported during one of the most vulnerable times of my life.

From the patient’s father:

Watching my daughter go through labor and an emergency C-section was one of the hardest experiences I have ever faced. All I wanted was for my daughter and grandchild to be safe — and Whitney made that possible.

She never left my daughter’s side, holding her up physically and emotionally through fear and pain while offering calm reassurance and steady strength. Whitney’s care extended to our entire family, giving us peace of mind, keeping us informed, and answering every question. Staying through shift change spoke volumes about her dedication.
