Whitney was the most outstanding nurse my family and I could have ever asked for in such a heartbreaking situation. Whitney was the ICU nurse for my father, who was left brain dead after an aneurysm. Through all of this, we were able to donate my father's organs to help others. Whitney was able to help us with anything we needed. She talked with us, smiled with us, listened to us but most importantly she cared for us. Each and every one of us in that room could feel the sense of care that Whitney had for our entire family and also my dad. After the conclusion of the tests were performed and our father was taken to surgery, we said our final goodbye. Again, Whitney was with us the entire time but was extremely comforting to my mother with the loss of her husband. It was almost as though Whitney knew us, we were all so brightened by her smile and kindness. She went above and beyond for my entire family and we are ever so grateful. Whitney all on her own made the decision to come to my father's visitation. My family was so speechless that someone else cared just as much as we did for the entire situation, cared for us, cared for my father, and had amazing amount of compassion for people she had never met before. She told us that she could not stop thinking about us and gave each and every one of us a giant hug. We could never be able to thank her quite enough for everything she was able to do for us. It really makes it clear that there are still amazing people in this world, Whitney O'Sullivan is definitely one of them.
