Whitney is a full-time charge nurse in the Ronnie Green Heart Center. She was in charge the day of the power outage. She took control of the situation to ensure patient, family, and employee safety. She was professional and very efficient in the coordination process of moving 24 patients out of Ronnie Green to the PACU in complete darkness. I walked in that day to nurses and respiratory therapist bagging patients. Whitney had a headlamp on and was traveling through hallways, transferring patients and coordinating the evacuation plan. It was a moment I will never forget. The teamwork was incredible and we are very fortunate to have had Whitney there to make sure everything ran smoothly.
