Whitni made an otherwise traumatizing experience for a spouse just a slight bit bearable. Losing the one you have chosen to spend your life with is excruciating. When the time came, Whitni expressed to her patient's spouse that her husband was transitioning. After he passed, Whitni began making calls to the family to allow a grieving widow to remain close to her husband's side.
