When my labs came back, my hemoglobin level was 4.3 and I needed to go back to surgery. I have never seen my mother so scared in my life and my father was yet to arrive and I was absolutely adamant to see him before I went to OR. Connor advocated that if it was important to me, it needed to be done and they agreed. He also insisted to take me himself to OR. I needed a familiar face more than I cared to admit when my parents were no longer there to be with me. Connor was the reason that my father was able to come and pray over me, then kiss me "see you soon", not "goodbye" on the scariest day of my life.
Integrity and putting his patient's individual needs before all else is a common theme surrounding Connor's personality. He deserves this DAISY Award because he exemplifies every quality on a daily basis. He is an incredibly exceptional nurse!

Thank you, William, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
