I took my son to the Emergency Room. We have never visited the Clermont ER before, but since we hadn't had the best experiences at other local ERs, we gave it a try. My 14-year-old son wrecked his dirt bike and had multiple abrasions on all limbs, including what appeared to be a broken ankle. I was a wreck but tried to keep it together for my son. Dean was so nice and relatable. It was obvious that he cares about his patients from the beginning. He was honest, told us the facts, and gave us lots of advice to move forward. He supported me while my son was out doing tests, checking in on me to make sure I was also okay. Dean took the time to explain the medical tests and procedures in laymen's terms so that I understood everything. My son had never had a broken bone before and ended up with several in his leg. Dean was very patient, helping him to learn how to use crutches, and explained the ramifications of not using them properly (which I have never heard in my 50 years on this earth). He as always available to answer our questions and never seemed rushed to be anywhere else, which says a lot in an ER. No one likes to visit the ER, and I've had my fair share of visits. This is by far the best experience I have ever had at an ER. My son and I are very thankful to Dean, and all the staff at the Clermont ER, for their expertise and the care they showed us last night.
