March 2018 Honoree
william hollman, RN
My husband was involved in a motorcycle accident. He was riding his 1959 Harley when the truck in front of him slammed on his breaks and stopped in the middle of the road. He had no tail or brake lights or turn signals. He swerved but couldn't stop in time. He was brought to Halifax, operated on for a broken leg and thumb. Bill was the absolute best. He was knowledgeable and always explained what he was doing and why. He has common sense and looked at the situation with compassion and a calmness, that was a true blessing for me and my husband. Other staff looked to him for guidance. We were so happy to have him as my husband's nurse. I wish he lived in Las Vegas, so I could hire him to be my husband's private nurse!
Thank you, William, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
