I was shot multiple times and ended up in SICU with many life threatening injuries. I felt a loss of hope and wondered what would come of me. Mr. Willie would be the one to give me the man-to-man conversations needed to mentally heal. He not only lifted me physically - refusing to let anyone pull me down - but lifted my spirits and emotions. He would talk about current life occurrences, television shows and especially sports, and brought so much light to my dark situation. He reminded me that I had a voice. That I should speak up for myself and take responsibility for my overall recovery. Now when I get discouraged, I think of Mr. Willie. It's good to know good men still exist, states my mom. I agree!
