I have had the pleasure of working with Wilma for over a quarter of a century. I remember when Wilma was a new RN, having started her second career a bit later in life. She always put her patients first; she followed the hospital policy and procedures and followed a moral and ethical code that was stronger than one than any profession could define.

Wilna is a great advocate for her patients. She communicates well with the therapists and all members of the rehab department. She works hard to ensure her patients have the best outcomes possible. She has always been loyal to Blessing Hospital. She moved with the rehab department from the 6th floor to the 3rd floor to its current location on the 2nd floor. She had a key role in helping the department achieve CARF accreditation. She handled all the changes in health care in her almost 30 years of service with positivity. She helped newer staff navigate all the changes. She has always been a great mentor.

As our admissions coordinator, she educated us all on FIM scores and now on GG scores. She puts in extra hours to meet the needs of the rehab department and never complains about it. She only wants to see the rehab department succeed and help our patients. Wilma will retire in February. She is truly an extraordinary nurse! Our department will not be the same without her. Thank you, Wilma, for all you have done for us!

Thank you, Wilma, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
