Wilson was an absolute pleasure and Mom still talks about him
My mother was admitted to JSUMC and stayed for about two weeks. She spent the first week in one unit, then was moved to another the night before her procedure. She had excellent care all around, however, there is one nurse I would like to recognize. Wilson was an absolute pleasure and Mom still talks about him (he even came to visit multiple times when she left the unit). When I heard he was a new grad, I was floored. His kind demeanor, smiling every time he came into the room, and the nature in which he took time to spend with his patients. I was coming up from the end of my day and before entering her room saw Wilson talking, smiling, laughing, and taking time out of his day to converse with my mom instead of sitting on his phone or at the desk. Even with his other patients, I could hear him talking, calm, and always pleasant even with some of the more difficult patients he had in his assignment. Her neighbor in another room was a bit difficult and yet each time she screamed he was right there to comfort her, speak kindly and calmly and she would relax and rest for a bit. Mom called him the 'old lady whisperer'. Your floor is so lucky to have a wonderful young man like him.
