Winnie Odongo, RN

Our Mom was in the hospital following lung surgery. Winnie Odongo was her first nurse once she was transferred to her room, and we were lucky to have her several more times during her stay. While all of the nurses provided outstanding care, Winnie was exceptional. She made an immediate connection with our Mom and our entire family. She patiently answered all of our questions and concerns, helping us to understand what to expect. When we left the first night, we were confident she was in good hands. She was proactive in addressing our Mom’s needs and was always there when needed. She made her feel at ease, which really helped her recovery process. She stayed on extra shifts and still had the same energy level and positive demeanor. She is competent, approachable, and genuine. On our Mom’s last night, Winnie came to sit with her to say goodbye. It was clear that their connection and care for one another were mutual. We are convinced that our Mom’s recovery was accelerated by her interactions with Winnie!
