Winnie Wood was deeply involved in the care and coordination of services for a long-term patient. Winnie was instrumental in developing a comprehensive nursing plan of care for him that ensured both his, and the staff's safety. She ensured all staff was aware of the care plan and on several occasions she demonstrated how to use various nursing interventions with the patient. Winnie was the person who worked with him during his entire hospitalization, and remained the "glue" for the staff who cared for this patient.
Winnie checked in with the patient and the 6B staff every day to ensure all was well. Winnie was an exceptional advocate for both the patient and staff! She is an amazing nurse and truly practices providing the finest care to those who place their lives in our hands!
